FTA is pleased to announce that FTA’s representation in China has recently upgraded their local website starting February.
Besides a fresh new look, the website now reflects FTA’s holistic approach to trade and sustainability. Following a similar structure as the main FTA website, the Chinese portal will now address matters related to international trade policy and sustainable supply chains, tackling social compliance through Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) updates and environmental performance through Business Environmental Performance Initiative (BEPI) updates.
This website will serve as an information hub, tailored to local interests of Chinese members and companies sourcing from China. Dedicated sections will provide our Chinese members, their business partners and stakeholders with the latest news, events and core content available in their local language.
“Almost 50% of the producers engaged in our sustainability initiatives are located in China and there is an increasing number of Chinese invested factories being established in ASEAN countries under Chinese management. The new portal will strategically enhance our outreach to these audiences and other stakeholders key in driving a global and responsible value chain”, says Christian Ewert, FTA Director General.
Upgrades also include a powerful search engine, enabling users to filter content by applying different criteria and an interactive newsfeed where visitors can post their comments. In addition, the site is optimised for mobile devices, allowing users to navigate, comment on and share content while on the move.
On the launch of the new site, Joyce Chau, FTA Representative China, reminded members that cn.fta-intl.org is the only official FTA site in China and the association has not authorised any third parties to set up or operate any other Chinese websites under FTA, BSCI or BEPI’s names. Should there be any third party site other than our official one listed above, FTA is not liable to the accuracy of the information provided in those unauthorised websites and reserves all rights to protect the interests of members in case of any abuse of our logos and brand identity.
